Dress-up

This is what dress up at our house currently looks like: a cute ladybug witch and a scary superhero bat with boxing gloves and a cape.

He never stops moving and is always twisting and turning and skipping and hopping while playing...

It finally seems like Jaden is starting to "get it" in regards to basketball.  Not only is he starting to understand offense/defense and guarding ~ he is actually enjoying it!

Bama and Papa's

It is always so much fun going to Bama and Papa Toomeys.
It is February break so the three of us headed up for the night.
Bama and Jaden built lego's and put together a puzzle while Ailia snuggled with Papa.
After a delicious breakfast of waffles, Bama helped the kids plant flowers and then we went to visit cousin Kaitie's new baby.
Such a fun trip.

 This is Ailia's first time in swimming lessons.  As you can see she loves it!

Winter

Dear Winter,
 I rarely complain about you.  I enjoy the change, appreciate snow, like the wardrobe,  but seriously?  Enough already.  The snow, the cold, the wind, the ice, the hats, the boots, the frozen van doors!  It is enough.  I will be happy to see you again next year, but I think it is time you headed on your way.  We have had enough.

Husband

My husband is such a hard worker.
Tonight he is working a double.
Eight hours in a psych unit would be enough.
And then he works more.
Just for our family.
I am so thankful for him.
It is snowing and cold and he is not home.
But we are warm and cozy.
Because of him.

Neighbors

We have the best neighbors. While the kids were outside playing yesterday they convinced Ms. Gladys and Mr. Mike to play in the snow with them for a while. They had fun being dragged around and chatting with them. They didn't want to let them go back inside~!
