Sweet Ailia

It is so fun watching Ailia become more social and interacting with people.
She is so sweet and endearing at 28 months.
This is an excerpt from her conversation with a woman at church today:
"I'm Ailia. Where's your Daddy?"
(she means husband ~ which is amusing just to watch and explain to people in and of itself)
"He's home, no actually he's playing croquet"
"You have a kitty?"
"No, I have a doggie though"
"Do you have a kitty?"
"No, I have one at my bama's though"

Another similar conversation with another woman who answered the question, "where's your Daddy?" resulted in the answer, "He's with Jesus." Of course I had numerous re-tellings of this to me throughout the day. "Hers Daddy's with Jesus!"

Some of my favorite words she is currently/still saying/mispronouncing.

Lellow = Yellow
Nilla = Vanilla
Epalent = Elephant

Creepy

"Jaden, take off the mask please."
"Why?"
"Because it's creepy."
"Don't you know it is most fun to be creepy to your mom?"

Two Cute

 

These two are so cute and so silly when they play together. On this day they both climbed into the stroller and asked me to push them around the block.

Meteor

Me: "Wow Jaden, what happened to your bed? "
Jaden: "A meteor came in and destroyed it."

Best Mother's Day note Ever!

 

Because Daddy works nights, Mommy is always up with the children in the morning. This was a special treat~ coffee made for me and the opportunity to go back to bed!

While getting ready for the day and discussing the interesting outfits Jaden comes up with and chooses to wear, I ask him, "can't you just wear some normal clothes today?"
His reply?
"My body never lets me."

Dress-up

Overheard as Jaden and Ailia were playing dress-up in the other room.
Jaden (to Ailia): "You are so cute, like you're a cutie pie."
"Now lets go play rescue heroes."
