Today was Jaden's first field trip.

They learned about snapping turtles.

Walked the Lake trail.

And made a craft.
It was a fun day - the kids were so cute. Jaden had a great day, was very excited, and spent the time just with Mommy!

Paradise

Fun with Friends

We met Liz and Charlie in Canandaigua. We attended one winery together before heading to the New York State Culinary Center. We had such a good time with these two catching up and best of all ~ Laughing!

10 Amazing years

We had such an amazing get a way. Ten years really is a long time. We have gone through so much together, come through, and grown. We had such a special opportunity to reflect, talk, connect, and relax together. I love this guy.

Grapes

I was washing grapes today and had a bowl of them soaking in water on the table. Ailia came in and announced. "Grapes!" "Swimming!"

Did You?

Not only do I have my own stories to report about Jaden. Now my neighbors do too. Here is a story relayed to me by my neighbor. While she was taking her dog out to go to the bathroom. Jaden asked what she was doing, she told him, then walked the dog to the backyard to do his business.
When she returned she noticed a twinkle in Jaden's eye. He asked, "did she go?" "yes" the neighbor replied. He then asked, "did you?"

Secret Confession

I have a secret confession:
Sometimes I go in and hold, rock, or snuggle my babies when they are sleeping. Because I can. And because I love them.

First Day

Jaden's "official" first day of pre-school. He had a good time. Learned to sharpen his pencil, drew a picture, had "circle time" and read a story. They didn't go on the playground and "mom, did you know? there are rules about talking?"

I am pretty sure I have the best husband in the whole entire world. He's handsome, intelligent, hard working, resourceful, funny, self-aware, loving, attentive, emotionally healthy, and an amazing father. Why am I so blessed? I do not know. I love you honey!

Make it without you

On our bike ride the other day Jaden announced: "Mom, I pretty much think I could make it without you and Dad."
"Really?"
"Yeah, I know how to get back from places now." "I'd just have to wait at our house for someone to come get me because I'm too little to drive is the only problem."

Sweetest Thing

I was greeted by the absolute sweetest thing today. Jaden appeared in the doorway of the kitchen as I was making dinner. He said, "Mom I have a surprise for you." and handed me a bouquet of handpicked flowers! (roots and all!) Is there anything sweeter?

Fairy

Wanted to wear the fairy wings to ride his bike. Wouldn't Daddy be proud?
