I love books

This is a picture of the books on my bedside table. I think this says a lot about me and where I am in my life right now.

Locks of Love

Well, I finally did it! I cut my hair and donated 12 inches to Locks of Love!

It was WAY past time!

Spent the day with friends today. Took Jaden to the Y for his gym class, home for lunch and nap and then to Holly's. (Daddy had to go to work at 11:30 for a meeting). The kids played in the bouncehouse, went outside and played in the snow, and played trains. She fed us an amazing dinner. I am so blessed.

Chicken Bone Take 2

Here they both are with a chicken bone.
As you can see, she wants them all to herself!

Chicken Bone

Some babies have pacifiers, or blankies, or a special animal, but for some reason ours has a "chicken bone." We don't know why ,and we can't explain it, but ever since she was very little she has been drawn to her Chicken Bone. This usually results in one of us saying "chicken bone" to her over and over. It is a very funny sight to see her with this bone in her mouth. We especially like it when she brings it to church and waves it in the air during the Praise and Worship time!

Walmart

What is it about bundling up the kids and taking them to Walmart that turns you into one of "those" mothers? Honestly, I should not even be let out of the house looking like I do sometimes. (It never fails that I run into someone I know either!)

Nothing Sweeter

Is there anything better than a soft baby head on your shoulder, sweet hair on your cheek, as you gently rock them to sleep?

Moments

The most perfect evening with Jaden.
After putting Ailia to bed for the evening we went outside. He helped me shovel the driveway (truthfully he really was a Big help and a very hard worker - I actually had the thought, I'm working beside my son...) and then insisted I make snow angels with him. We made angels in the front but he was very adamant that "now we need to go in the backyard." I was ready to go in but gave in nonetheless.
Perfection. Light of the moon, soft snow, quietness with a three year old, and then giggles and giggles and wrestles.
Precious moments.
Inappropriate

Over her Christmas break from school (my) Mom decided she would take Jaden to see his first movie in the theater. When I told Jaden Bama wanted to take him to the movies I asked him, "What do you think you will see?"
Jaden replied, "Probably something inappropriate."

Pickle McNickle

While talking to my Dad on the telephone:
"You're name's not Papa, it's Pickle McNickle."

Judge Not, Lest You be Judged

Today while reading books Jaden said: You shouldn't judge other people or you will be judged.

Only if you're a judger.

Here was my surprise when I went to put on my slipper today.

Life is never dull.
There are so many things that happen on a daily basis I have felt the need for quite some time to keep a record, for me, for perspective, for remembering and possibly for the children. And so it begins. It really does bring joy to remember the moments.
Today: Daddy took Jaden to "Old McDonalds Playland" where he tripped and fell landing on his cheek leaving quite a large red mark. Daddy took care of it and put ice on it and helped him calm down. Discussing the incident on the ride home Jaden told Daddy, "don't tell Mommy."
"why"
"because she'll freak out."

Seriously?

In another exchange with Daddy Jaden told him, "I'm trying to eat healthy." "I'm mostly concentrating on treats and snacks right now."

Concentrating?
Again, seriously?
